Skincare is Healthcare
The temps are dropping, and my already dry skin is screaming for help. At my latest doctor's appointment, one of the things we discussed was the pain of dealing with Sjogren's rashes. They can appear at any time and vary in appearance. I can't speak for everyone but in my experience, the rashes appear and are most painful with an oncoming flare. We often use the term "beauty routine" or "skin and beauty", and while all women are beautiful, for those of us with Sjogren's disease caring for our skin is act of self-love and advocacy all it's own.The systemic inflammation Sjogren's gifts us, tends to leave the skin barrier broken and the skin dry and painfully cracked. Pre-Sjogren's this was never an issue for me, but now I have to work overtime to hydrate inside and out. Over the next couple of weeks, I'll share updates on what products have been recommended and tried with my honest feedback.I tend to stay away from free advertising on behalf of large corporations as I prefer to work with those whose mission/values somewhat align with my own. Advocacy and serving the community--all of it. My doctor recommended for my body care to try products from Cerave', which I do use their cream already and Gold Bond. I am familiar with Gold Bond as a brand, but not familiar with their extensive line of products. As I said, I will try and give share my thoughts here in hopes that anyone else seeking products that work may have a better idea of what to purchase. Throughout the month we'll also dive into hair, cosmetics ( hello Fashion Fair) and other products that help hydrate and protect. #cosmetics #GoldBond #dryskin #beauty #FashionFair
